I would expect a professional authority presence to assume that innocent bystanders could be anywhere they go, in fact, that is the very definition of a police presence, to serve and protect. What separates criminals from an enforcer of the law is the wisdom and foresight to determine the best course of action using procedure. That being said amongst the one thing I should not have to is what kind of lunatic does not visually define the room and non nonchalantly throw a flashbang. It's utility is low impact, it's not even meant to be thrown, procedure is to roll the grenade into the center of the room. In a just world the men responsible would step forward and admit they made a mistake and do everything they can to help the injured toddler but it is not and until you do you men will always be considered cowards in my book. America is learning to fear you rather than trust you because of policy, as if you do not hold yourself to the same standard of accountability as every other HUMAN BEING.

I just watched spellbound and nauseated by the CNN report of your actions regarding the SWAT teams mistaken entry into a home in Cornelia during which a little baby had a hole blown in his stomach by your out of control officers. Your chief of police, Rick Darby, had a brief statement which showed him to be a liar or a very poor communicator. I am sure there are always many sides to a story; however in this case the facts seem rather clear: People of color abused by a redneck police force run by a Keystone Cop like chief. If there is one ounce of decency in your department, you will not only apologize to this family, but do all you can in assisting in the recovery of this innocent little boy. What a dark stain on all law enforcement personnel who risk their lives daily to protect the citizens in their community.
