I had the best night's sleep here when I was so exhausted. The bed was very comfy, especially the quilt. In addition, the room was super clean. And the staff was extremely helpful. I could not find a key I had misplaced and they took the time to look when I phoned them, showing me the utmost courtesy. If only the breakfast was offered at 5:30am though (it opens at 6:30).
I gave one star because I couldnt leave 0. I reserved this room about three weeks ahead of time. Check in was at 4pm on the day of arrival. We were planning on getting in late that night instead. I did not check my card for payment and the room wasnt paid for just reserved. They called me at almost 9pm day of arrival to let me know my card was declined. I told them that I was on my way and would arrive in 40 mins. When I got there I paid IN FULL for two nights with another card. When we opened the door of the room bugs flew out and hit me in the face. There was bugs on the air conditioning unit and along the window seal as well as the a few on the floor. My mother went down to let the staff know. They were unconcerned and said that "we could just leave." She told her it was late we had kids and we would speak to management in the morning. The next day she went down to speak to the manger. The manger was also unconcerned and would not even speak to my mother about the rooms condition. She only said that our card got declined and showed her other peoples cards that had been declined. She told her we paid in full and she said "well then you can leave and I will refund you your money for one night." She told her we didnt have anywhere to go as it is Octoberfest and the rooms are booked. We left with issues unresolved to attend the wedding we came there for. While on the way to the wedding the manger called me and said "Since you are unhappy with your room, you need to just go." I said "so you are kicking us out" she said "I am asking you to leave." I was in shock. I have never been treated so awful in my life. The whole time every conversation I had with the staff I felt like we were not wanted there. She said to be there by 12pm to get our stuff. There was no way to get back in time I was in a wedding! My mother left right after they kissed and went back for our stuff. Fortunately, we were able to find another room with the help from local police. They also advised us not to stay there and said they knew about the conditions of the hotel. AWFUL PLACE!! DO NOT STAY!! YOU WILL WISH YOU DID NOT!!!!
Place is nice and calm. Owners are really friendly. Prices were fair. The heater smells like smoke though
